HORTON HEARS A WHO! THE ART OF DR. SEUSS AND THE ART OF GIVING BACK
LISS GALLERY TO HOLD SERIES OF EVENTS TO BENEFIT KIDS HELP PHONE
Liss Gallery of Toronto announces a series of events that is sure to captivate all those who love the books and the art of the wondrous Dr. Seuss; and a portion of the proceeds from the December 7th, 2013 Children’s exhibition and the evening art exhibition will be donated to Kids Help Phone, whose mission is to improve the well-being of children and youth in Canada by providing them anonymous and confidential professional counselling, referrals and information in English and French, through technologically-based communications media.
Brian Liss, the owner of Toronto’s venerable Liss Gallery explains why giving back to the community in which he lives and works is so vital; “I cannot think of a better way to give back to my community, and Kids Help Phone is a resource that really makes a difference in so many kid’s lives in Toronto….I am pleased we can assist in their efforts and contribute to this great organization.”
A Prayer for A Child
On Saturday, December 7th, 2013 there will be a Children’s Exhibition from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the gallery withSurprise Celebrity Readings of your favorite Dr. Seuss books, and from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm an event featuring over fifty works of art from the illustration Collection and The Secret Art Collection of Dr. Seuss.
The renowned Curator of the Dr. Seuss Collection, Bill Dreyer, will be the featured guest speaker for the event, and will speak on the life and artistic career of Theodore Seuss Geisel.
