The Prism Prize is proud to announce the recipients of two awardsthe Prism Prize Special Achievement Award and the Arthur Lipsett Award (sponsored by Art Works Art School), celebrating the achievements of Canadian music video artists, both at home and on the world stage, in advance of the Grand Prize announcement on March 29, 2015.

The 2015 Arthur Lipsett Award, established to recognize an innovative and unique approach to music video art, goes to director, cinematographer and editor Jared Raab. Jared is a director known for fusing vintage technologies into mainstream video such as reviving classic arcade cabinets for Tokyo Police Club's Hot Tonight, 3D holographic projections for The Arkells' Whistleblower, reprogrammed Oscilloscopes for Born Ruffians' What to Say, and pioneering the moving "Magic Eye" pictures for Young Rival's Black is GoodJared Raab has also directed music videos for bands including Ohbijou, July Talk, Diamond Rings and P.S. I Love You. 

The Prism Prize Special Achievement Award, presented to a Canadian music video artist for their artistic achievements and exceptional contribution to music video art on a world stage goes to director, editor, animator and cinematographer Christopher Mills. Christopher has directed short films and music videos for bands such as Modest Mouse, Interpol, Blue Rodeo, Rush, Metric, Shad, and The Joy Formidable. 

A new and exciting benefit for all Prism Prize Award winners comes from William F. White, Canada's oldest and largest provider of professional motion picture, television, digital media and theatrical production equipment. Whites will provide $2000 equipment vouchers for all Prism Prize Award winners including the Grand PrizeAudience AwardPrism Prize Special Achievement Award and the Arthur Lipsett Award.

The Prism Prize Awards Presentation takes place on March 29, 2015 at TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto, and will include a screening of the Top Ten Short List videos, presentations of the two Special Awards, as well as the Audience Award (presented by Noisey Canada) and the Prism Prize for Best Canadian Music Video of the Year.  The Prism Prize winning video will be awarded the Prism Prize trophy and a cash reward of $5000. For the first time ever the Prism Prize Awards Presentation will be open to the public. Limited tickets are available now at www.prismprize.com/tickets.
