The Voice is thrilled to announce it is returning to our roots with a free festival this year as part of the re-established Voice mission to bring music, art and culture to New Yorkers under the new ownership of Peter Barbey.
"In line with the Voice's role as a tentpole of the cultural community in New York, we felt it was essential to continue our music legacy by producing a fantastic, free summer festival again," Barbey said.
4Knots will continue the Voice's successful 16-year run of showcasing emerging artists and indie rock bands in New York City. From 1pm-8pm, the festival will take over the Seaport and Pier 16 for a day full with more than a dozen artists performing for more than 10,000 music fans.
"We're thrilled to have 4Knots back at the Seaport Museum! Our East River piers with historic ships are a great venue and the 4Knots festival brings great music and new visitors to this New York gem," said Captain Jonathan Boulware, Executive Director, South Street Seaport Museum.
"As we move closer the opening of the new Seaport, with Jean-Georges' Food Market, and McNally Jackson in 2017 we are so proud to welcome back the 4Knots Music Festival and showcase the Seaport District as a home of great, live entertainment in an unparalleled river front setting," said Phillip St. Pierre, Senior General Manager of Seaport District & Howard Hughes Corporation.
The festival prides itself on presenting audiences with the best up-and-coming artists breaking through today.
