Named after the Jue Lan Society, a secret Chinese art club from the 1930’s, Jue Lan Club has quickly become synonymous with art, style, fine dining and a celebrity clientele. In December 2015, Stratis Morfogen, and partners Alex Amanao and Richie Romero, opened Jue Lan Club in New York, offering a menu of fine Chinese cuisine with a modern twist served in an upbeat, upscale ambiance. The bi-level restaurant, located within the historic church that once housed Limelight Nightclub, is divided into five dining rooms with their own unique personality, including the main Limelight Dining Room, Warhol Room, Forbidden Room (Peter Gatien’s former office), Grafitti Alley and the al fresco Imperial Garden. Paying homage to the Jue Lan Society, the flagship Jue Lan Club features a rotating gallery of artists, such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Domingo Zapata.
