K. MICHELLE RELEASES NEW MUSIC FROM UPCOMING ALBUM
KIMBERLY: THE PEOPLE I USED TO KNOW

On the heels of an unforgettable year, as fans have been eagerly awaiting her fourth album, K. Michelle returns today with a new song, “Either Way,” featuring Chris Brown. This follows "Birthday" which was released last week to acclaim. The song marks an exciting time for the iconic singer/songwriter as it signals the fall release of her latest album offering titled, KIMBERLY: The People I Used To Know. The album feels confessional. Each of the songs on the album is about someone who she’s met during her life’s journey and how it’s left a mark on her. Each person that has left a mark has influenced her direction down life’s path. With this album, K. Michelle finds herself at a vulnerable crossroad and she’s prepared to share the experience with her fans both new and old. The album is scheduled for a late fall release.

The Memphis, TN native’s most recent album, More Issues Than Vogue, debuted at #2 on the US Billboard 200, and #1 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Her second album, Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart? bowed at #1 on Billboard’s R&B chart and #6 on the Billboard Top 200, eventually becoming the “best-selling female R&B album of 2014.” Rolling Stone placed it among the “Top 20 R&B Albums of the Year,” while Complex, Washington Post, and more extolled it. Only a year prior, her major label debut Rebellious Soul earned the distinction of becoming the highest Top 200 entry for a female R&B singer’s debut since 2001, also coming in at #1 on Billboard’s R&B chart and #2 on the Billboard Top 200. Alongside those achievements she received a Soul Train Award for “Best New Artist” and an NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding New Artist.” In early 2016, the second season of her VH1 reality show, K. Michelle: My Life, opened to an audience of over 3.2 million viewers up 7.5%, and she made history becoming the “first African American to receive an endorsement deal from Jack Daniels.”

Beyond music, K. Michelle continues to celebrate the successful launch of Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails Southern Peach, the flavor that was crafted as part of her collaboration with the brand. She worked very closely with Jack Daniel’s during the creative process from start to finish – even selecting the custom gold crown cap, exclusive to the Southern Peach flavor. An instant favorite among K. Michelle fans and Friends of Jack, the smooth and refreshing beverage is available at select retailers across the country where wine and spirits are sold. Southern Peach is also served at K. Michelle’s Atlanta-based restaurant, Puff & Petals. For more information on Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails please visit
