Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus is excited to announce a strategic partnership with Girls With Drive and Aurora Straus to promote women in the automotive industry.

SCG dreams seemingly insurmountable goals, and then tackles them with driven, strong teams. These teams include many incredible women in leadership roles, but the automotive industry still has a long way to go. SCG and Girls With Drive are proud to tackle this new challenge.

Aurora Straus’s foundation, Girls With Drive, has a mission to inspire, identify, and support girls driven with interest and talent in male-dominated careers or sports. Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, with the help of Girls With Drive, strives to hire as many qualified women as possible at all levels for our upcoming Danbury Factory and Le Mans Hypercar project. The factory and team will also engage powerhouse women to propel SCG’s customer cars forward in the United States, and to compete for first overall at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the WEC in 2020-2021.

"We have a long history of standing up for the right thing,” says Jim Glickenhaus. “Glickenhaus and Company became the first Wall Street firm to adopt a non-discrimination policy based on sexual orientation. Now, we want to take the next leap forward.”

“I am extremely grateful to Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus for encouraging women in the racing industry the right way. There’s no shortage of female talent, but women still represent less than one percent of the motorsports industry,” Aurora Straus says. “Women in racing don’t need to be treated differently or segregated. I envision a world soon without “female engineers” or “female drivers” – just great engineers and great drivers. I look forward to assisting SCG with achieving this shared vision by recruiting a powerhouse team of women that will help propel SCG to the pinnacle of the racing industry.”

"I have three strong, independent daughters who are 5, 3 and 15 months old. My older daughters love cars, building, and engineering. They want to help me build cars. They slide around in their mini electric car for hours,” says Jesse Glickenhaus. “When I told Cameron, my oldest daughter, that I had a meeting with Aurora, who helps girls train and work in male-dominated industries and sports, Cameron said, 'And you're building cars, and so you can work together to have equal men and women build cars!' Wise words from my five-year-old."

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus and Glickenhaus Racing actively seek to hire candidates regardless of sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, marital status, country of origin (ancestry), religion, or military history. This partnership with Girls With Drive will help proactively create strong, supportive, and welcoming hiring and employment practices for excellent candidates from all backgrounds.
