New Music: J. Stone Feat Young Dolph “Weekend”

J. Stone has been overcoming adversity his entire life.  He also found that kinship and shared experience with another youth growing up in South Central LA, Nipsey Hussle.

The founder and CEO of 25/8 No Breaks Inc and a founding member of All Money In Records, J. Stone was not only label mates with the Nipsey Hussle, but he was influential in sparking his own success in the industry.  Together, they learned the inner workings of the music industry as teens and even taught each other how to record one another in the studio.  J. Stone and Nipsey recording history also runs deep, as he previously appeared on Nipsey’s Crenshaw (“All Get Right”), Mailbox Money (“Stay Loyal”) and he also joined Nipsey on his Crenshaw (2014), and Victory Lap (2018) tours.

J. Stone has amassed more than 80 million streams worldwide over the course of his last three albums.  J’s first independent album, The Definition Of Loyalty,(2019)  peaked at #2 on the iTunes Hip-Hop chart, and included collaborations with Wale, Hit-Boy, James Fauntleroy, Curren$y, The Game, YG, Snoop Dogg, Jeremiah, Mozzy,  Pacman Da Gunman, YFN Lucci, Dom Kennedy and of course Nipsey.

In 2020, J. Stone returned with The Definition Of Pain, which again went #2 on the iTunes Hip-Hop chart and featured collaborations with Nipsey (two tracks), E-40, T-Pain, Dave East, Trae Tha Truth, Dom Kennedy, T.I., & Kash Doll.

Now, J. Stone has announced his forthcoming album, The Definition Of Sacrifice, which completes his “Definition” trilogy and features appearances and production from Young Dolph (two tracks), Swizz Beatz, Jadakiss,, Mozzy, OT Genasis, Styles P, K Camp & Lumidee.   In addition to the new album announcement, J also released a new single, “Weekend,” which features Young Dolph (RIP!).

“Working with  Dolph was like working with Nipsey, the chemistry, sharing game of the independent grind with each other, and us having the same drive.  Dolph  would FaceTime me almost every other day about shooting the video. Sadly, the unbelievable tragedy happened that hit me almost just as hard as Nip’s passing” J. Stone lamented.  “But I’m sticking to the script and the plans we both had for “Weekend,” because that’s what Dolph would have wanted.  Anthem of the year, better yet a lifetime.”

J. Stone’s The Definition Of Sacrifice will be released on 6-15-22.

You can now pre-order, add and favorite The Definition Of Sacrifice at Apple Music/iTunes and receive “Weekend” as an IG track:
